'Alisa' is Youssou's first solo album released in Calgary, Alberta in 2005. It is recorded only with Youssou's voice and guitar giving the complex West African rhythm an acoustic feel. The recordings on this album are incorporated into Youssou's live performances where he often adds other musical dimensions including percussion, bass and another acoustic guitar.
